Who else ?but.....Sachin Tendulkar!!!
Just couple of days for the start of the Test series against Austrailia and Sachin is away from one of the most sought after records in World of cricket ...the most number of runs in the tough world of Test Cricket.
AFTER 19 years of unyielding commitment, relentless success ,injuries and constant harassment, Sachin Tendulkar is one decent innings from being the most prolific batsman of all time. The milestone may have crept up on Australians but in India it will be given the sort of publicity most countries reserve for royal weddings, moon landings and assassinations.
If Osama bin Laden is caught on the same day as Tendulkar breaks the record, look for it on page three of The Hindustan Times or Indian Express or The Hindu because we know who'll be on page one.

I for one is hoping he does that in his first innings in Bangalore, because we as fans cant bear watching for another test,'cause it seems like an eternity. In the first Test against Australia starting in Bangalore next week, Tendulkar needs 77 runs to overtake Brian Lara (11,953 runs) as Test cricket's highest run-scorer.
I was disappointed by his batting in the recent series ,but in hindsight all the fab4 lost their way to Mendis and his carrom ball.Sachin, with all his expereince behind and his wonderful record against the kangaroos will be hoping to have a fantastic series here.
The pitches though selected is kind of interesting with the boucy Bangalore and Seaming Mohali for the first 2 tests. Most probably these 2 tests will point to the end series result.Wishing Sachin and the Indian Team all the best
Cheers
